Ertefa Meet
Dave & Buster’s
Vaughan, Ontario, Canada
July 5th, 2012
The night was young, the weather was perfectly warm and the GTA’s largest car meet was about to smash record numbers once again. It is no doubt that last week’s Ertefa meet brought out 1,000+ cars. This week, the numbers were simply uncountable with the estimate in the 1,200-range if not slightly more. The AMF showcase once again had a great selection of vehicles ranging from a slew of NSXs (including a past “Best in Show” winner), slammed Civics, and STREETPOWER Performance’s 3-rotor Mazda RX-7. The roll-in began even earlier around the 8:30pm mark and by 9pm (official roll-in time), most rows in the main parking lot were filled. AMF in partnership with Ertefa had the “Best in Show” prize pack ready for one lucky winner, the challenge was once again finding that unique gem amongst the mass selection of cars. e decision wasn’t easy for anyone.
Our friends at NextMod brought out their beautiful Hakone White R35 GT-R rocking some must-have carbon fiber goods and a sexy set of concave ADV.1 wheels.
This gorgeous R32 GT-R tagged as “TOMEI GTR” is said to be an all-original JDM build. Electric blue, Volk Racing TE37SL wheels and go-fast goodies – yes please!
Black, gunmetal or white – which R32 GT-R would you take from the pack? Combined horsepower from factory is near the 1,000 mark, but I’m sure that’s far from the truth with these three.
A not so common sight at any event as of late, a Mk3 Toyota Supra and it’s straight-six 7MGTE engine. Gotta love the custom headlight setup, flush OEM-style carbon fiber hood and two-tone wheels.
This stock looking Subaru STi caught my attention, maybe it was the colour or then again the fact that it was parked far from the main lot and still holding its own.
If the R32 isn’t your flavour of the month, then the R33 might suit your fix. How about those ubber rare VeilSide Andrew Baccarat wheels?
Some German enthusiasts were also out and about at the meet including this “MURDRD A3″ that is blacked to the max and looking very menacing.
Just like last week, the “chalk car” was back only this time with a tattoo artist doing renderings on all the panels. This truly was an awesome thing to watch in person and see the stages progress throughout the night. No plug needed here, the art speaks for itself.
By far the best designed Z in my opinion in the past two decades – the 370Z! This Amuse kitted gunmetal Z34 was sitting perfect on a set of ADVAN wheels and clean as ever.
If chopper-style bikes are your thing, there were a few of those too scattered about, like this awesome custom with its aggressive rake.
For my fellow sport bike riders, there were plenty that showed up. What bike is to your liking? Suzuki, Honda, Yamaha or Kawasaki?
This matte red BMW M3 was perfect in any way, even though I don’t like the colour red on cars. Perfect aero, perfect stance, V8 power – could you ask for anything more?
Blue pill or red pill, which would you choose? Two Mitsubishi EVO Xs just hanging out amongst other Evolutions – always a great sight to see.
If you ever wanted to know what the term “sticker bomb” meant, here’s exhibit A. This 350Z owned by Salem of Too Fast Motors has gone through many changes through out this season, possibly because it is daily driven. Kudos to him for his unique Z with his sticker bomb front-end and as always, thanks for supporting AMF with that kick-ass rainbow chrome decal!
This week’s “Best in Show” winner taking home an AMF prize pack was Sam Kim, owner of the beautiful gunmetal Power House Amuse-kitted Nissan 370Z! Clean and simple is the theme with this build including a perfect stance. KUDOS to Kim for bringing out his sweet ride and showing his support. In his AMF prize bag is a full detailing kit courtesy of Shining Monkey, t-shirts, decals and other goodies which we’re sure hell enjoy!
