SEMA 2012: Day 2 | Presented by MegaSpeed
Las Vegas Convention Center
Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
October 31st, 2012
The second day of SEMA was just as packed full of incredible demo cars, exhibitor booths, and of course beautiful models as the first day. Without a doubt the biggest “must-have” car at this year’s show is the Scion FR-S be it in boosted, widebody, or completely radical form. Almost every major aftermarket company had one of these hot coupes on display, if not it was left up to the new American muscle machines with the likes of the 5.0 Mustang GT and Camaro.
DC Sports – a leader in the tuner realm – was back in full force with an incredible display that includes their demo Scion FR-S in an awesome racing livery, APR carbon fiber front splitter and a great set of rollers.
This vintage VW Beetle was given a modern twist and a stunning deep metallic paint job not to mention the incredible leather interior.
One of the best 2013 Ford Mustang GTs in the Ford booth amongst the selection. This grey / carbon fiber gem was built by the Ring Brothers – one of the most well known custom shops in the United States.
Ken Block made another appearance this time in the Shining Monkey booth signing posters for 500+ fans that waited to meet the Gymkhana legend.
This Bonneville Salt Flats beauty was built by Troy of Rad Rides and although it is in impeccable show condition, it also achieved a land speed record. Beauty and brawn – the only way cars should be!
This EcoBoost Ford Focus ST caught everyone’s attention with the awesome bright orange paint job, carbon fiber accents, and a perfect set of wheels. Ford was showcasing a collection of custom built machines by known builders big and small.
Rotiform wheels, air ride suspension and matte paint – three things you rarely see on a car let alone a Scion FR-S! Kudos to the Airlift team for this incredible demo showcasing the ever growing potential of this sports coupe.
A SEMA show winner is this beautiful gunmetal Chevy masterpiece built by Rad Rides by Troy parked in the Mothers booth. Everything about this bow-tie is custom made and dialed in perfectly. Congrats to Troy and his crew for yet another work of art.
Beauty comes in all forms and this brunette vixen is just an example of the many models at the show.
If you think ‘BLING’ only exists on rap artist’s watches and teeth, think again. This small block Chevy engine has been completely modified with shiny crystals for that added show touch, but it is no doubt that it is incredible pretty to look at.
Over at the HRE Wheels booth this McLaren MP4-12C was sporting the perfect set of rollers, after all what else could one do to the twin-turbo V8 supercar? HRE also announced a few new wheels including a carbon fiber one which seems to be getting a buzz amongst enthusiasts.
Stay tuned all week long as we continue with updates LIVE from SEMA 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada!
